Nature’s Secrets REVEALED

Lauat’s Key Ingredients

Lawat

Litsea glutinosa or lawat is a plant that is indigenous to the Philippines. Generations have used the sap from its leaves to prevent hair fall. Lawat contains saponin, which has anti-inflammatory, anti-aging, and anti-oxidant properties. Saponin gives the leaves a soapy lather and has fatty acids that “feed” and rejuvenate the hair follicles. Filipino neurosurgeon and scientist Dr. Rainier Villanueva was the first to take lawat to the global scale. Through his R&D institute, Rainiers Research and Development Institute, he was able to conduct clinical studies that proved the efficacy of lawat. After four weeks, his subjects experienced 87% decrease in hair fall.

Gugo

Entada phaseoloides or gugo has long been used as a shampoo ingredient. It is known for its ability to strengthen hair and stimulate hair growth. Typically, its bark is soaked in water and the solution is used to wash the hair and scalp. Gugo increases microcirculation of blood in the scalp and even has anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, and anti-inflammatory properties. Rainiers Research and Development Institute discovered that combining gugo and lawat results in a much more effective anti-hair fall solution.

Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO)

VCO is the oil extracted from Cocus nuciferas or coconuts. Coconuts are plentiful in the Philippines and in other tropical countries, and is known for the usefulness of its fruits, leaves, and bark.

Virgin coconut oil is used in hundreds of personal care products, ranging from lotions to hair care. It contains Vitamin E and fatty acids that are beneficial to the skin, hair, and scalp. VCO also removes sebum and dirt from hair follicles, leaving the hair strands with a cleaner, more conducive growing environment.

Pili Oil

(for Lauat Shampoo)

Pili oil comes from Canarium ovatum or the pili nut, which is native to the Bicol region in the Philippines. While pili oil is a popular skincare ingredient, it also has unique properties that help nourish the hair and scalp. Pili oil increases microcirculation in the scalp, triggering hair growth. It also softens the strands and makes them more manageable. The result? Luxurious locks that are easy to style and manage.
